Doctor Who
Due to its current popularity, Doctor Who needs little introduction. It is a TV series which airs on the BBC featuring the travels through time of a timelord (Doctor Who) and his companions. This travel is effected through a time machine called the Tardis, which on 
the outside resembles a British Police Box. From time to time, The Doctor makes a transition from his current character into a different one and through this method, several actors have played the role. The series ran from 1963 until 1989 at which time there was a long hiatus until the show finally reappeared in 2005 under the production of Russell T Davies.
